Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to provide accurate analytics and reporting to support decision-making in the Gas Supply department. The role involves working with business units to turn data into actionable insights, maintaining analytics platforms, and promoting standardization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation

Design, manage, and optimize complex queries across multiple data sources

Analyze and interpret data for operational and strategic needs

Qualification

Required

SQL or similar programming languages

BI tools (Tableau or equivalent)

Experience in enterprise environments with data standardization and governance

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and five years experience in the utility industry with exposure to compliance and/or regulatory agencies; or equivalent

Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently

Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information

Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to explain technical or complex concepts to individuals

Requires the ability to apply research methods, and/or advanced statistical and/or accounting methods

Requires basic computer skills in order to utilize various software applications for developing documents, reports and graphics

Preferred

Python, Snowflake, VBA

Alteryx, Azure, PowerApps / Power Automate

Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook, GitHub, or version control tools

Basic understanding of economics, finance, and energy markets

Knowledge of risk management concepts

Background in the natural gas industry

Degree in economics, math or business preferred
