Responsibilities
Perform project accounting function including opening (closing) projects within the accounting system
Work with Project Managers to prepare timely and accurate customer billings and supporting documentation
Engage in WIP process including activities such as project forecast, WIP reconciliation, project cost transfers, change order updates, and adjustments
Assist in collection of receivables
Works with transactions involving multi-currency and tax considerations
Assist in responding to external audit requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Economics, or college equivalent
Extensive experience populating and analyzing financial and project data using Excel
Preferred
Experience with using AI to optimize tasks is an asset
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV software would be beneficial but is not required
Experience in a professional services business would be beneficial but is not required
Commitment to provide outstanding customer service and quality
Inherent inquisitiveness to 'dig in' and ask questions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interacts well with others - internal finance team, senior managers and external parties
Maintains confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information
Proven ability to multitask, manage deadlines and work under pressure
