Responsibilities
Establish and monitor key performance indicators for logistics performance, cost, and service levels. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership identifying trends, obstacles, and improvement opportunities
Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards
Champions employee development through mentorship and coaching and implements succession planning strategies to build a strong leadership pipeline
Leads process improvement initiatives by identifying, developing, and implementing enhancements in warehouse and logistics operations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize overall performance
Oversees and coordinates all shipment activities with carriers and the UK team to ensure smooth logistics flow, timely delivery, and resolution of customer queries. Ensures compliance with customs requirements and accurate documentation to minimize delays and maintain service excellence
Lead, mentor, and develop logistics teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Serve as liaison with Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on delivery schedules and customer commitments
Review and approve logistics-related invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with budgetary guidelines
Oversees inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliation, to ensure accuracy, minimize variances, and maintain optimal stock levels
Provides oversight of compliance with international shipping regulations by ensuring accurate preparation and maintenance of tariff documentation, shipping manifests, and all required customs paperwork to meet regulatory standards
Lead negotiations with logistics providers and third-party carriers to secure favourable terms, service levels, and cost efficiencies
Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 activities
Executes on additional high-level responsibilities and projects as required in support of advancing the company’s strategy and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Progressive experience in logistics or supply chain leadership roles
Proven track record of managing global logistics operations and delivering measurable results
Strong knowledge of international trade compliance, customs regulations, and vendor management
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
