Skills Inc., one of Washington State’s largest aerospace suppliers, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer Aide to join their team. The role involves reviewing aerospace and commercial documents for compliance with engineering specifications and quality system requirements.

Responsibilities

Validate and correct performance monitoring data
Interpret data, analyze results, and provide detailed reports for reporting and communications needs
Create First Article Inspection Reports for entry into Net-Inspect
Identify opportunities through data analysis for process improvement and increased efficiency
Use methodical and systemic analytical approaches to perform effective Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA)
Develop, document, and deliver end-user training on changes and enhancements to process improvements
Track and report status of Corrective Actions and quality performance data
Assess quality performance trends and lead corrective action efforts
Participate in and contribute towards process improvement initiatives and goals
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
Comply with all federal, state, company and customer requirements

Required

Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English
Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through a minimum of five (5) years direct experience or three (3) years of related experience and 2-year technical degree

Preferred

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with concrete and abstract variables
Experience with the manufacture, fabrication, assembly, application of protective finishes, and inspection of structural aerospace products
Advanced knowledge of quality engineering theories, principles, inspection techniques, tools and equipment
Advanced knowledge of aerospace and commercial drawings, blueprints, parts lists and associated documents
Advanced computer literacy in a Windows environment including proficiency with MS Office
Excellent at technical writing
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to others and to work cooperatively with both internal and external customers
Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and operational functions
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects in a timely manner
