Fox News Media operates multiple platforms including the FOX News Channel and FOX Business Network, reaching 200 million people each month. They are seeking an Associate Editor for Flash/Media/Culture who will write news pieces, create videos, and develop editorial angles to engage the audience.

Responsibilities

Write up breaking and original news piece on media, culture, and other resonant topics
Clip and create video of breaking news clips
Produce original written and video pieces; conduct original interviews
Monitor news networks, podcasts, and other outlets and come up with editorial angles to pursue FoxNews.com & FoxBusiness.com

Required

A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in news, TV, or daily video
Knowledge of and passion for news, media, and pop culture
Experience with digital analytics to monitor and build traffic
Familiarity with AP style, strong knowledge of current events and politics
Strong SEO and social media skills
Strong communication skills
A self-starter with strong news judgment for a digital audience
Ability to pivot between breaking news stories and in-depth projects with longer deadlines
Ability/flexibility to work mornings, evenings, or weekends as required due to the demands of the breaking news industry

Preferred

Experience using content management systems and video editing systems
