Builder Outside Sales Carpet & Tile

Responsibilities

Make service calls, maintain, and expand existing accounts by improving product mix, improving gross margins, or other means
Make sales calls, grow and develop new customer accounts
Perform take offs and walk residential job sites at different times throughout the construction process
Schedule orders and coordinate with Install Manager, Designer and Operations
Assist Credit Manager in keeping customers accounts up to date
Maintain effective communication with customers at different levels of the customers business, to include installers, purchasing agents, superintendents, owner/manager, etc
Attend Sales Training Programs as directed
Perform other duties as required

Qualification

Required

Good communications skills to include the use of telephone, computer, and face to face interaction
Ability to plan, organize and maintain accurate records, to include notes from discussions with both customers and managers
A safe driving record as determined by Company
Ability to travel to various customer job sites as needed on a daily basis, several times per day
The ability to maintain favorable relations with co-workers and customers
