Volunteer Recruitment Intern
Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston is seeking an energetic and motivated Volunteer Recruitment Intern to help grow our community impact. This hands-on role supports community engagement and outreach efforts by connecting with potential volunteers and sharing our mission throughout the Greater Houston area.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Support grassroots volunteer recruitment efforts and outreach campaigns
Assist with campus, community, and corporate engagement initiatives
Attend outreach events and help represent the organization in the community
Track and organize volunteer prospect data
Assist with volunteer onboarding and youth enrollment processes
Support data entry, background checks, and match-related administrative tasks
Provide general support to match operations as needed
Support enrichment programming and match activities
Assist with resource referrals, child safety materials, and training coordination
Attend weekly Tuesday all-staff meetings
Complete research and administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Support grassroots volunteer recruitment efforts and outreach campaigns

Preferred
Currently enrolled in a university or post-secondary education program
Major in Psychology, Sociology, Human Development & Family Sciences, or a related field
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Comfortable engaging with diverse populations
Detail-oriented, dependable, and professional
