Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. They are seeking a highly motivated intern for the High Voltage Battery Pack Mechanical Design team to assist with mechanical design, build, and testing of battery packs for the Midnight aircraft.

Responsibilities

Take on a single project that requires analysis, design, and build to meet requirements

Work with senior engineers to complete root cause and design improvement tasks on existing battery packs

Use hands-on skills to aid with testing and test-fixture modifications

Required

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent major (Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, etc.)

Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework (rising Junior or Senior)

Demonstrated hands-on experience through previous internships, academic projects, or personal hobbies (robotics, maker projects, automotive work, etc.)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Can-do attitude, ready to learn and hit the ground running
