Senior Director of Advancement for Native Arts & Cultures Foundation

Nonprofit Professionals Now is supporting the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation (NACF), a Native-led organization dedicated to promoting indigenous arts and cultures. The Senior Director of Advancement will oversee fundraising operations, manage the Advancement team, and develop donor engagement strategies to strengthen Native communities and promote social change.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day execution of the fundraising plan
Supervise and support the Advancement team
Work to create goals, work plans, and engagement opportunities for the Advancement team in support of overall organizational goals
Ensure team members deliver on their functions (data, grants, donor moves)
Coordinate with programs and communications for donor materials, events, and cultivation
Serve as liaison with the Advancement Committee of the Board
Learn and understand NACF values and Native approaches to arts and cultures, including strategies on social, environmental, and cultural liberation, and philosophies around giving and receiving that intersect with fundraising
With fundraising consultants, develop and implement a short-term and long-term fundraising plan
Analyze donor data and develop inclusive strategies for engagement
Represent NACF at donor meetings, events, and other public engagements
Develop personalized donor experiences and steward relationships that deepen engagement with NACF

Required

3+ years of experience managing a team; preferably in a hybrid environment
5+ years of fundraising experience in a social justice, arts, or culture-related environment, with an emphasis on individual donor strategies
A bachelor's degree or equivalent educational and work experience
Strong project management and organizational skills
Knowledge of donor segmentation and personalized cultivation strategies, particularly at major-gift levels
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and execute fundraising plans
Proven success managing diverse teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a high degree of creativity
Ability to interface with the public and connect with people from diverse backgrounds
Proficiency in MS Office Suite or equivalent software and fundraising software

Preferred

Cultural competence, specifically knowledge and understanding of Native peoples and Tribes
An arts and culture background
