Attending bi-monthly board meetings (in person or online)
Offering strategic oversight and advice
Championing our cause in the community
Supporting specific areas such as, for example, finance, fundraising or HR
Qualification
Required
Ability to prepare for and attend a minimum of six board meetings a year
Skills and insight needed to ensure the organization meets all professional requirements
Ability to bring different lived experiences, knowledge, and ideas
Ability to work constructively and enthusiastically in a changing external environment
Willingness to complete a DBS check
Familiarity with safeguarding and other policies
Preferred
Experience in finance, fundraising, or HR
Experience in governance, leadership, and strategic thinking
