The Laboratory Assistant plays an essential role in providing critical support in both andrology and endocrinology laboratories, ensuring timely and accurate processing to contribute directly to patient care and treatment success.

Responsibilities

Assist with laboratory operations, audits, compliance checks, and reporting, including sample collection and handling

Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes

Manage and maintain cryogenic storage equipment, including handling and inventorying cryopreserved specimens (sperm, oocytes, embryos)

Coordinate transportation of cryopreserved specimens with third-party vendors while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards

Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and process medical record requests

Act as a primary point of contact between the laboratory, physicians, and nursing teams for lab-related coordination

Organize and manage laboratory paperwork, supply inventory, and administrative documentation as well as data submission

Assist with additional projects and administrative duties as assigned
