Senior Payroll Analyst

The Senior Payroll Analyst supports complex payroll processing, reporting, and tax compliance for EFCO’s U.S. and Canadian operations, ensuring accuracy across payroll systems and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

Payroll processing and reconciliation (40) Prepare and audit complex biweekly payrolls, validate earnings, deductions, and taxes, and ensure timely and accurate pay delivery across jurisdictions
System maintenance and process enhancements (25) Support payroll system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting. Identify improvement opportunities for workflows, controls, and reporting
Tax compliance and reporting support (15) Assist with multi-jurisdictional payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing, including W-2s and T4s
Reporting and analytics (10) Develop, maintain, and distribute payroll reports for finance, HR, and leadership. Ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards
Audit support and documentation (10) Prepare payroll audit documentation and support internal and external audit processes. Maintain accurate records of payroll actions and approvals
Additional duties may be assigned to meet organizational goals and priorities. Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing, to meet organizational goals and priorities

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business required
4–6 years of payroll experience with multi-state and/or Canadian payrolls preferred
Experience with tax filings and year-end processing required
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems required
Must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information

CPP designation preferred or in progress
