Greet and direct patients and visitors appropriately
Schedule appointments and interview patients for medical and insurance information
Explain department and hospital charges and policies
Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems
Collect necessary payments
Answer incoming calls and provide accurate information or direction
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred
Relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred
Familiarity with interpreting insurance information and clinical practices
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
