Responsibilities

Configure and deploy Oracle databases, experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB is a plus

Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases seamlessly with existing applications

Implement required security protocols

Develop and maintain scripts for enforcing security compliance and monitoring database activities

Perform routine administration tasks including backups, patching, and performance tuning

Optimize query performance and indexing strategies to enhance data retrieval efficiency

Manage both RDS and on-premises instances, ensuring synchronization and data consistency across environments

Implement monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch for RDS, Oracle Enterprise Manager, MySQL Enterprise Monitor, MongoDB Atlas) to track database performance, reliability, and security compliance
