They are seeking a Consult Learning professional to support the Learning, Culture, and Belonging department by providing training and education to patient care associates, managing resources, and seeking opportunities for program development.

Responsibilities

Serves as an education and development resource for OhioHealth clinical business units
Acts as liaison to match needs of clinical staff with resources from Learning, Culture, and Belonging (LCB)
Facilitates centralized orientation programs
Ensures standardization of education including but not limited to orientation, annual competency assessment, regulatory requirements, and associate development
Assists in the design of education based on educational standards, evidenced based practice, and OhioHealth policy
Applies principles of educational processes which include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of program development and management
Utilizes adult learning principles in the development and facilitation of educational programs
Communicates the impact of educational outcomes on department leadership
Utilizes best practices and learning trends in program design
Reviews and evaluates educational content to ensure alignment with clinical evidence-based practice
Works with leadership to develop educational plans that align with organizational strategies and need
Facilitates educational programs to promote job performance, organizational outcomes, and professional development
Manages projects: determines needs, adheres to allotted resources, maintains project timelines, and generates progress reports as requested
Prioritizes and delegates work of others on the team
Identifies the need for additional tools and resources that will enable the development of creative solutions for projects / problems
Provides information for leadership to negotiate and collaborate with executive sponsors and stakeholders to achieve project success
Adheres to educational principles and guidelines to support achievement of desired outcomes
Actively participates on committees, councils, clinical teams, and process improvement initiatives that impact department and system initiatives
Supports the team in the development and growth of current programs
Participates in precepting new team members
Assists in differentiating between education and performance gaps
Communicates finding with appropriate unit leadership
Assists in assuring standardization of education by collaborating with educators across the system
Communicates efficiently and effectively with individuals and team members
Facilitates and supports change through effective communication with internal team members and system educators
Demonstrates positive attitude toward system change

Required

Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Patient care delivery skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to assess a target audience and determine appropriate styles of communication which will be effective
Knowledge in the areas of conflict resolution and customer satisfaction
Software knowledge, e.g. MS Office
