The State of Florida is seeking a Records Technician OPS to join the Children and Families agency. This role involves receiving, reviewing, and assigning abuse reports from the Florida Abuse Hotline, as well as providing clerical support for a Family Safety Unit.

Responsibilities

Receiving, reviewing and assigning all abuse reports received from the Florida Abuse Hotline
Following up with the appropriate supervisory personnel to ensure they are aware of the pending investigation and staff assignment
Ensuring the Child Safety Risk Assessment is completed within the prescribed timeframes
Printing and reviewing all abuse reports received from the Hotline and OTI requests called in from other counties
Coordinating with the Florida Abuse Hotline Information system (FAHIS), Child Information System (CIS) and Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN)
Reviewing appropriate databases for the previous or open investigations and child family involvement with other family safety programs
Providing clerical support for a multi-function Family Safety Unit
Preparing intake case records for Child Protective Investigator for cases received over the Child Abuse Hotline
Processing closed case files, answering phones, providing coverage to process Intake report, receptionist coverage, processing closure letters, conducting diligent searches, archiving case files and other support staff related duties
