Responsibilities

Assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for projects

Work closely with Structural Lead, Project Managers, Professional Engineers, and Designers across different disciplines

Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed

Communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model

Check own work and reach out to peers and seniors for guidance when questions arise

Required

Currently seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with a clear emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Excellent communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Previous relevant internship experience in structural engineering

This position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site)

Sponsorship is not available for this position and because our internships are a first step on the road to a full-time position with Jacobs after graduation, those candidates with CPT work authorization are unable to be considered
