Responsibilities
Receiving and setting up DSAs for testing
Assistance in documenting when laboratory supplies should be ordered
Verifying expiration dates to ensure appropriate levels are ready for us. Checking collection dates on processed DSAs in holding refrigerators and disposing of them in a timely manner
Performing cleaning of laboratory areas and equipment
Assistance with intake patients
Reception duties - including but not limited to checking patients in, communicating with other departments, answering phones, and assisting with the general flow of the clinic; and
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school graduate or GED equivalent required
Medical experience is required; experience drawing blood and/or recording drug screen analysis is a plus
Documentation of training appropriate for the testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens
Preferred
Current phlebotomy certification or willingness to get certified is highly preferred
