Transmission Planning/Studies Engineer

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of steady-state and transient power system studies
Participate in meetings with utilities as part of project delivery or business development
Lead or support project(s) throughout the whole lifecycle (i.e. from the technical bid/proposal to execution, reports, client meetings/presentations, to close-out)
Work closely with the team members across North America and globally
Participate in ISO/RTO stakeholder forums and other applicable technical committees and stay up to date with latest standards and requirements
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, from a recognized institution
Minimum 4 years of direct experience with power system studies using PSS/E, TARA and/or PSCAD
Strong background with at least one of the following system operators ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, IESO
Up to date knowledge and experience with NERC, FERC, and NPCC reliability standards
Team player with great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Ability and willingness to travel within North America
Preferred
Direct experience with National Grid and/or Eversource
Experience with large loads such as data centers
Professional Engineer (PE or PEng) License
