Facilities Management Intern

As a Facilities Management Intern, you will support the South Harbor Facilities Management team with various tasks including transitioning software systems, maintaining data integrity, and designing facility layouts using CAD.

Responsibilities

Play a crucial role in transitioning from our current Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to the new software system
Ensure assets are properly identified and include all required specifications
Assist in maintaining REVIT models by coordinating and incorporating contractor drawing uploads. This includes identifying assets, locating them, scheduling tasks, and making assignments in the construction cloud or CMMS
Exposure and involvement in various day-to-day facilities activities and situations
Collaborate with facilities to capture annual maintenance spending for each piece of equipment
Maintain data integrity to support strategic decisions for equipment replacement planning
Build reports to analyze and provide data for asset replacement projects
Design facility layouts using CAD for office, warehouse, and manufacturing spaces

Required

Enrolled in and pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering (General or Industrial) or similar, from an accredited college or university
Sophomore, Junior, Senior (Dec 26, or May 27 grads) level student in good academic standing
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

Experience with asset management, maintenance or building modeling software in the facilities field
Progressive levels of responsibility dependent upon individual and their ability to succeed with limited direction
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft office products, and project management software such as Microsoft Project
Safety-conscious mindset. Must be comfortable working onsite in an active manufacturing/production environment
