Communications Associate

Responsibilities

Create, edit, and post content for Springboard’s email newsletters, social media channels (including Instagram and LinkedIn), and other platforms as they are adopted over time
Design and format content using Canva and manage email communications through EveryAction
Support storytelling campaigns and content initiatives led by the Vice President, Communications – and propose your own ideas for campaigns and initiatives!
Keep Springboard’s website current and accurate, including posting updates, refreshing content, and supporting new pages as needed (WordPress)
Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and visual presentation across digital platforms
Work closely with the Vice President, Communications to plan, prioritize, and execute communications projects
Collaborate with colleagues across the organization, including in Community, Programs, and Development, to surface stories and support organizational needs
Track internal data and keep clear records of information relevant to Springboard’s storytelling initiatives
Contribute to a nimble, responsive communications operation—balancing flexibility with strong planning and follow-through

Required

3-5 years of experience in similar roles
Strong writing skills with excellent attention to detail
Highly organized and reliable with strong planning and project-management instincts
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Flexible and responsive while managing deadlines and priorities
Ability to think about how best to tell an organization's story across audiences and platforms
Enjoy working collaboratively across teams in a small, fast-moving organization
Comfortable learning new tools and systems that improve work processes
Prior work authorization in the United States

Preferred

Experience with content creation for email newsletters and social media channels
Experience with design and formatting content using Canva
Experience managing email communications through EveryAction
Experience maintaining and updating websites, particularly using WordPress
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
