Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and draft pleadings and discovery, providing clear and timely updates to clients
Review and summarize relevant records and conduct factual investigations
Perform legal research and develop case evaluations, briefs, and motions
Take and defend depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses
Communicate with clients regarding discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and case progress
Make regular court appearances for status hearings, discovery and dispositive motions, and pre-trial conferences
Collaborate with attorneys and staff on case strategy and trial preparation
Qualification
Required
Maintain strong proficiency in Illinois civil procedure
Advise, advocate for, and represent clients with professionalism, integrity, and skill
Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Deliver consistent, high-quality legal services with a strong commitment to client needs

Ability to conduct and defend depositions confidently
Comfortable using legal technology and office software tools
3-5 years of corporate and commercial litigation, ideally with insurance defense background
Licensed to practice in Illinois
Preferred
Admission in Indiana and/or Wisconsin is a plus
