Responsibilities

Planning, coordinating, and performing soil and groundwater field investigations

Performing environmental remediation oversight and sampling

Design and implement soil and groundwater remediation systems

Stormwater management

SPCC plan development and approval

Reviewing and analyzing field and laboratory data

Preparing environmental investigation work plans, reports, and feasibility studies, and other project documents; compiling tables, figures, maps, and cross-sections for technical deliverables

Researching, interpreting, applying, and ensuring compliance with federal and state rules and regulations regarding environmental permitting, compliance, and remediation

Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports

Managing field logistics, including scheduling, permitting, equipment readiness, and sample shipment

Interfacing with clients and subcontractors

Implementing and ensuring health and safety best practices

Managing projects within designated timeframes and budgets

Required

BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field

6-12 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, remediation, and report writing

At least 2 years of experience managing environmental remediation projects and budgets, supervising project staff, and familiar with ECMC regulations, along with environmental regulations in surrounding states such as Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico

Strong technical writing and communication skills

Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices

Valid driver's license and safe driving record

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check

Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or 8-hour annual refresher)

Preferred

Professional Engineering license (PE) in Colorado or surrounding states
