Finance Analyst

Responsibilities
Creates, reviews, and updates various project reports and makes appropriate corrections to ensure accurate reporting for management
Coordinate with project teams to assess reporting and identify risks to create accurate forecasts
Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data
Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes/techniques, and recommending actions
Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials
Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications
Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
2 years of experience in financial reporting and/or data analysis collaborating with different company teams/personnel of varying levels
Ability to travel and/or relocate to project sites as needed in the future (TX, FL, and GA)
Knowledge of complex ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) to prepare financial reports and forecasts
Knowledge utilizing data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to present complex financial analyses
Knowledge utilizing the Microsoft Office 365 software suite to prepare and/or supplement financial reporting, forecasts, and analyses
The ability to collaborate with various different project teams and personnel to gather data and create reports
Ability to build strong relationships with operations leaders and key project stakeholders
The ability to work successfully both independently and on a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines

Construction and/or engineering industry experience is preferred
