Business Development Manager

Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities that drive incremental revenue and distribution growth across priority retail, and emerging channels
Develop strategic account plans and business cases for new retailers, distribution partners, and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Lead end-to-end commercialization of new partnerships, from initial pitch and negotiations through onboarding, launch, and post-launch performance evaluation
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on pricing, assortment, promotional strategy, and operational readiness
Own retailer and partner negotiations related to distribution, pricing, trade terms, and growth initiatives in alignment with Bulletproofs margin and brand objectives
Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform opportunity prioritization and growth strategies
Partner with Marketing and Trade Marketing to develop customer-specific activation plans that drive velocity, trial, and brand awareness
Track, forecast, and report on new business pipeline performance, launch results, and ROI against growth targets
Represent Bulletproof as a strategic partner, building long-term relationships that support sustainable, mutually beneficial growth
Ensure all new business initiatives align with Bulletproofs brand standards, quality commitments, and operational capabilities
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of experience in CPG sales – experience in CPG is a requirement – business development, or account management, preferably within food, beverage, or wellness categories
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field
Proven track record of driving new business growth, including opening new accounts, expanding distribution, or launching new retail partnerships
Strong understanding of retail dynamics across grocery, mass, club and B2B channels
Experience leading customer negotiations, including pricing, trade terms, and promotional planning
Ability to build compelling business cases using data, insights, and financial analysis
Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to effectively present complex insights to business partners and leaders
Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment. Must manage multiple tasks, while adapting to changing priorities
Always having a continuous improvement mindset
Advanced user level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
