Part-Time Accounting Consultant Role
CFS is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Consultant to maintain accounting operations during a six-week coverage window. The role involves providing accounting leadership across three entities, focusing on financial continuity and fiscal year-end close alignment.

Responsibilities
Review Sales & Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure accurate coding and reconciliation, partnering cross-departmentally as needed
Review Costs & Accounts Payable (AP), supporting internal teams with coding guidance and reconciliation
Oversee and execute weekly vendor check runs following a structured, documented multi-step process
Prepare and upload payroll journal entries for all three entities using pre-built templates in NetSuite
Review and approve journal entries, providing feedback and guidance to accounting staff
Submit 401(k) withholdings immediately after each payroll cycle
Keep the accounting team on schedule for daily accounting tasks, month-end close, and fiscal year-end close
Review and process monthly expense reports and credit card reconciliations
Review general ledger close activities and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and team alignment
Serve as an on-call interim accounting lead, able to support timelines and team continuity with minimal ramp time
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of accounting experience
Management experience with experience indirect oversight or mentorship of accounting staff
Proven leadership through month-end close and fiscal year-end close cycles
Hands-on NetSuite accounting execution experience (required)
Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
Ability to provide cross-department coding support and reconciliation guidance
A hands-on, proactive operational approach with the ability to step in quickly
