Energy Grants Analyst
Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through various economic mobility programs. The Energy Grants Analyst is responsible for overseeing financial operations within the Fuel Assistance and Energy Departments, including managing budgets and producing financial reports.

Responsibilities
Managing budgets
Approving expenditures
Ensuring accurate receivables and timely payment of invoices
Producing monthly financial reports
Analyzing results
Meeting regularly with Energy managers and the Chief Financial Officer to review financial performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business with 5-7 years relevant business and accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze financial processes and systems
Experience with accounting software such as Abila MIP and other accounting software desired as well as a working knowledge of Excel
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with WCAC staff and external agencies
Knowledge of government grant/contract compliance requirements
Ability to train and assist agency finance and program staff as needed in finance policy and procedures
Preferred
Knowledge of foundation and private grant procedures and requirements
Understanding of Accounts Receivable and other accounting operations
