Kelly Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a long-term contract-to-hire position at their industrial technology client in Dayton, OH. This role involves architecting and implementing electrical designs while collaborating with various teams to support the development of advanced positioning, control, and automation products for construction and mining equipment.

Responsibilities

Contributes technical expertise in development of hardware components, with technical expertise in the area to develop inertial sensor technology, such as IMUs

Identifies and develops new technologies for new or existing products

Responsible for complete design development and documentation

Responsible for circuit analysis, bench and validation testing support, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies

Assumes leadership role in finding the expeditious resolution of critical complex technical problems

Conducts and generates input to the design review

Supports the successful transition of completed products to manufacturing by providing pertinent ECNs (Engineering Change Notices), contributes to writing test procedures, and designing test fixtures (entry level)

Contributes information and support to presentations to customers and to discussions of technical issues at program reviews

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

3-7 years of relevant experience

Strong electronic circuit design expertise

Strong testing and circuit debugging experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills needed to write technical/functional specifications, test plans, and other documentation

Electronic Circuit research experience

Familiarity with C and C++ firmware development
