Logistics & Warehouse Associate - Data Center
CBRE is a leading global real estate services firm, and they are seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Associate to manage Warehouse Operations including shipping, receiving, and storing materials. The role involves ensuring the safe receipt and timely dispatch of goods, along with maintaining inventory and documentation of shipments.

Responsibilities
Prepares documents and shipping orders. Packs, seals, and labels materials for shipping using most cost effective method of shipping via US Mail, UPS, Fed Ex or other carriers
Examines contents and compares with records to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments
Determines shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting and record-keeping purposes
Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
Confers and corresponds with required representative to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications
Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment
Receives all material and compare to packing list. Examines and inspects received items for breakage, reporting any damage to purchasing agent. Marks, packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse according to corporate standards
Layout and builds control panels according to designs provided by engineering. Wires panels according to designs and appropriate regulatory standards in a neat and workmanlike manner
Marks all project shelves with job number, job name and PM assigned to the project. The area where material is placed needs to be clearly marked so that it is not accidentally removed for another project
Any material that is transferred to or from any stock location must be properly documented within the accounting system, and/or a packing list prepared for shipment to the customer
Issues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years related work experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving
Technical training consisting of completed certificate or diploma in HVAC controls, electrical controls and/or mechanical systems application and design
A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
Ability to effectively present information
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
Must be an active listener, giving full attention to what others people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles
Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions
Conducts basic financial analysis
Possess a working knowledge of arithmetic
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
Must possess critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems
Must possess problem solving skills and be able to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and offer/implement solutions
Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects in fast paced, changing environment
Ability to work closely with customers, subcontractors, engineers, designers, project managers, sales, shipping and receiving and panel shop to help Operations facilitate on-time and on-budget projects
Knowledge of computer hardware and software including applications
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and capable of adapting learning to incorporate new technology
Must be able to type 55-65 wpm and be able to use a 10-key
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics software helpful
