Responsibilities
Oversees the provision and delivery of patient care on the unit
Responsible for providing direct care to patients and ensures the individual needs of patients served are met
Supervises assigned unit staff, provides training and guidance to therapists and interns
Manages the day to day unit schedule and activities
Contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational, and quality improvement efforts
Ensures unit is in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree specializing in Counseling or Social Work related field
Current LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, license issued by the State of Texas
Completion Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment
Thorough knowledge of THE JOINT COMMISSION/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements
Preferred
Two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred
