Responsibilities

Analyze operating conditions across production facilities and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput
Collect on-site data, perform technical evaluations, research best practices, and deliver clear analytical reports to stakeholders
Support improvements to process control strategies and manufacturing consistency
Partner with internal energy-focused teams to identify, evaluate, and implement energy-reduction initiatives
Contribute to sustainability and emissions-reduction programs aligned with regulatory and internal environmental targets
Review and assess proposed capital projects, including equipment selection and process design considerations
Engineer and specify new or modified process equipment to improve plant performance and meet project goals
Evaluate air emissions and develop engineering solutions to ensure regulatory compliance
Identify operational challenges and collaborate with operations, engineering, and environmental teams to implement corrective actions
Support automation and control systems, including assistance with control logic, configuration, or visualization when needed
Participate in system start-ups, commissioning activities, and process area ramp-ups
Lead or support capital improvement projects as assigned, ensuring scope, schedule, and technical objectives are met
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all engineering and field activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Minimum of 7 years of experience in large-scale, continuous industrial manufacturing environments
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to operating facilities
Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Strong collaboration skills with both plant-level and corporate teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting and presentations
Experience leading meetings, documenting work, and presenting technical findings
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude

Preferred

Exposure to advanced process control systems
Experience with emissions control technologies and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with control loop tuning, PID optimization, and industrial automation concepts
