Electronics Service Technician III

Advanced Energy is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of precision power conversion solutions. They are seeking an Electronics Service Technician III to perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic equipment, ensuring adherence to production schedules and performance standards.

Responsibilities

Performs various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies
Uses test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units
Advanced knowledge of electronic testing and circuit analysis and ability to troubleshoot down to component level
Works under minimal supervision
Works on assignments that are be moderate to complex in nature
Displays leadership traits by acting as a positive role model for others
May lead a small project and provide direction to others
Ability to maintain a professional rapport with support groups and peers while achieving results
Ability to provide seamless coverage across all product platforms with minimal training and guidance
Ability to manage team priorities and demonstrates a high level of initiative
Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost reductions
Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance
May assist with training other AE employees in established processes
Documents test results accurately
May act as the technical interface with other departments
Models a professional and positive work ethic
Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions
Ability to effectively work in a team environment
Other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
Soldering skills required
Ability to perform basic electro/mechanical assembly skills
Component Identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation and schematics required
Basic computer knowledge
Basic Knowledge of SAP
AAS degree in electronics or equivalent and completion of the AE technician test

Preferred

5+ years' experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred
Advanced knowledge of electro-mechanical testing and circuit analysis
Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment
Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
