Assistant Professor - Information Technology Management

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as information technology management, enterprise systems, data analytics, and emerging technologies
Develop new courses and update existing curriculum to reflect current trends in information systems and technology innovation
Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed academic journals
Advise students and participate in departmental and university service activities
Contribute to departmental initiatives in program development, assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Integrate applied, real-world experiences and technology trends into classroom instruction

Required

Ph.D. in Information Systems, Information Technology Management, Business Analytics, or a closely related field
ABD candidates will be considered, but the doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2026
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and potential for a strong research record
Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology Management, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline
Significant industry experience applying technology and analytics to business challenges (e.g., operations, marketing, finance, or supply chain)
Prior teaching experience as a full-time or adjunct instructor

Preferred

Knowledge or experience with artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven decision-making, and technology innovation
Ability to teach both quantitative and managerial aspects of information systems
Industry experience that enables integration of practical applications into academic settings
Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service
Professional certifications in IT management, analytics, or project management (e.g., PMP, CBIP, CISSP, AWS, or similar) are considered advantageous
