Assistant Director - Engineering, Digital Trust & Transparency

Responsibilities

Own engineering strategy and delivery for Digital Trust & Transparency products; driving reliability, scalability, security, and observability
Build and mentor a high performing engineering team that delivers consistently through product mindset and agile principles
Operationalize privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR/CCPA/TCPA) via platform controls, audit trails, and versioning embedded in the lifecycle
Integrate across the enterprise to enforce consent states and propagate preferences across channels using event‑driven and API‑first patterns
Partner across Product, Marketing, Privacy, Legal, Security, and Data Governance to prioritize outcomes and align roadmaps to enterprise needs

Required

Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience
8+ years of enterprise-level technical experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility and impact
Formal people leadership experience, coaching team members on best engineering practices
Ability to work with multi-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners at all levels

Preferred

4+ years of technology leadership managing and mentoring direct reports; proven ability to build strong teams and a culture of accountability
Experience in working with third-party solutions, developing and managing integrations, and vendor management
Experience architecting distributed systems (APIs, microservices, eventing) with strong observability and SRE practices
Practical knowledge of data privacy and consent frameworks and vendors (OneTrust, PossibleNow, etc)
Cloud proficiency (AWS preferred) and modern DevOps tooling
Background in consent/preference platforms or customer protection notifications integrated with enterprise data ecosystems
