Supplier Quality Engineer – PPAP Coordinator (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate PPAP submissions for new and existing parts
Review, approve, and maintain complete, accurate PPAP documentation in Teamcenter
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with Siemens, customer, and industry standards
Support supplier development by providing guidance on Siemens quality requirements
Perform quality inspections and validation of parts and components to ensure drawing and specification alignment
Lead corrective actions, address quality issues, and drive continuous improvement
Serve as the primary contact for customer PPAP approvals, inquiries, and audits
Maintain and update Control Plans, FMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline PPAP and enhance efficiency

Required

Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and supplier quality processes
Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial production environments
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead several projects simultaneously and meet critical timelines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or recognized STEM field (or 4+ years of equivalent experience)
5 plus years' experience with the following: Quality control, engineering and/or management
Ability to interpret industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM, ANSI)
Knowledge of the integrated Management System (IMS) standards (ISO9001, 14001, 45001)
Proficient in quality management systems and tools (e.g., Control Plans, APQP, FMEA, SPC)
Expertise with GD&T
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred

Proven experience in PPAP coordination, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality assurance roles
Background in electrical, automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of PPAP requirements, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
Proficiency in metrology applications and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent organizational, project management, and documentation skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with suppliers, customers, and multi-functional teams
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality and continuous improvement
