Avionics Technician

Corvid Technologies is an engineering firm specializing in high-fidelity computational modeling and simulation for aerospace and commercial customers. They are seeking an Avionics Technician to support the design, assembly, and inspection of wiring harnesses and electronics for avionic systems, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

Advanced hand soldering of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
Assemble wiring harnesses, ensuring compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements
Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electronic components and assemblies to ensure the highest quality standards
Some travel to customer sites for installation, support and repair of systems (up to 10%)

Required

Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required (technical training or Associate's Degree is a plus)
Candidate must have experience electronic assembly and hand soldering, with a preference for experience on high-reliability applications
Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and schematics

Preferred

Preferred candidate will possess certification in IPS Soldering J-STD-001G/S soldering and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 wiring harness (ability to obtain one with training is required)
