In-House Wedding & Special Event Sales Manager

King's Hawaiian is a family-owned business dedicated to inclusivity and community engagement. They are seeking a highly motivated In-House Sales Manager to launch and grow their Wedding and Specialty dessert department, focusing on generating new business and managing client relationships for various events.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and engage new clients for wedding and special event bakery orders
Build and maintain a steady pipeline of inquiries through outreach, follow-ups, and lead tracking
Drive sales by converting leads into signed contracts and nurturing long-term relationships
Cultivate partnerships with local businesses to become their preferred dessert vendor
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals set in collaboration with leadership
Conduct client consultations to understand their vision, preferences, and event details
Present customized offerings (cakes, cookies, bars, etc.) tailored to individual events
Schedule and manage tastings, proposals, and payment timelines with thorough documentation
Own the full contract management process, ensuring all terms, pricing, and timelines are clear and accurate
Coordinate closely with pastry, kitchen, and service teams to ensure seamless order execution
Manage driver schedules and delivery logistics to ensure on-time, accurate event fulfillment
Provide outstanding client service from inquiry to delivery and post-event follow-up
Maintain an active sales log and track clients’ future milestones (e.g., baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries)
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments (culinary, logistics, operations, etc.)
Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability as the department is built
Take ownership of developing systems, processes, and internal communication workflows
Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, event venues, hotels and concierge teams, corporate offices, florists, photographers, bridal shops, etc
Represent our brand at bridal shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
Develop co-branded marketing campaigns and referral programs with external partners
Stay updated on wedding industry trends, seasonal demands, and competitor offerings

Required

2–4 years of experience in sales, event coordination, or hospitality (wedding industry strongly preferred)
Strong communication, negotiation, and contract management skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience managing schedules or logistics (preferably related to food service or event deliveries)
Excellent organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
Leadership ability with a desire to grow and develop a team
Self-starter with a passion for connecting with people and building a business
Flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, holidays, and off-site events)
Must be able to be onsite during the main four holidays
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel

Preferred

Background in dessert, pastry, or foodservice sales
Familiarity with wedding/event platforms (e.g., The Knot, WeddingWire)
Existing network in the wedding, events, or hospitality industry
Experience with hospitality or food operations
Proven Sales record in similar industry
