Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician for the RTC Test and Engineering Services Contract supporting the Army Division. The role involves supporting DoD systems testing and troubleshooting various control and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

Work on a team to support DoD systems testing with an emphasis on safety and meeting test schedules

Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade refrigeration control systems, test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, security camera systems and information technology systems

Support a variety of testing environments and situations, including extreme temperature, altitude, wind, dust and rain testing, both indoor and outdoor

Required

General computer / networking skills strongly desired

Basic understanding of electrical circuits and power systems, some experience in an industrial electrical work environment preferred

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner

Experience with PLC's and/or National Instruments hardware is a plus

High School Diploma or GED

3 years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 2 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 1 year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area

Must have sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and at least 1 of the 3 years of experience must be in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware
