Administration Manager - TECHLink

The City of Houston is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Administration Manager for TECHLink, responsible for overseeing the vision and daily activities across the Houston Public Library system. The role involves managing team members, developing programs, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance library services.

Responsibilities

Manages and oversees team members and daily activities
Recommends, develops, and implements new and creative programs in support of short, medium and long-term strategic goals
Serve as program facilitator and/or moderator as needed
Manages and maintains robust calendar of programs in alignment with annual system observances
Coordinates with finance and grants teams to manage contracts, vendor agreements, payments and invoices
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on development of workshops and TECHLink services
Assists with coordination of special projects and related duties including planning, budgeting, promotion, implementation, execution, and evaluation
Represents the TECHLink at internal and external meetings, conferences, etc
Prepares special reports such as monthly statistics and meeting minutes
Responds to written and verbal inquiries, requests, and concerns
Works select evenings and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as schedule requires
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the Deputy Director or Director

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Political Science, Psychology or a closely related field
Six years of pertinent, progressive professional experience in personnel, administration, accounting or a closely related field
Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis

Preferred

Understanding of public library operations
Project management experience
Sirsi Dynix Symphony experience
Willingness to obtain a valid driver's license within 30 days after employment
Eligible veteran applicants
