Responsibilities

Perform and verify complex boundary analyses using relevant legal principles, statutes, and case law
Prepare high-accuracy survey deliverables, including: ALTA/NSPS surveys, Records of Survey, Boundary and topographic surveys, Short and long plats, subdivision maps, and lot line adjustments, Easement exhibits and legal descriptions
Process and adjust GPS and conventional survey data; perform least-squares adjustments as needed
Conduct advanced COGO calculations, coordinate geometry evaluation, and geodetic analyses
Apply coordinate transformations, rotations, and translations across datasets
Analyze field data, sketches, and digital records for completeness and accuracy
Prepare drawings, mapping files, and supporting survey documents in collaboration with drafting staff
Review deliverables prepared by Survey Technicians for accuracy and completeness
Maintain high standards for data integrity, record documentation, and file management
Provide technical input to improve internal standards, procedures, and workflows
Serve as an internal technical resource for boundary resolution, geodetic analysis, and mapping standards
Provide guidance and informal mentorship to Survey Technicians and early-career survey staff
Participate in internal training, knowledge-sharing, and process improvement initiatives
Support the Senior Land Survey Manager and PLS staff by contributing to QA/QC practices
Respond to technical inquiries from clients and agencies when requested by project leadership
Assist project teams with research into public records, deeds, dedication documents, vacation filings, and right-of-way information
Provide technical explanations or supporting documentation as needed for client deliverables
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying
5+ years' relevant survey experience
Proficient experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Effective and professional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred

Professional Land Surveyor License (LS)
Project Management experience
General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, Bluebeam, etc
