North Carolina State University is looking for a part-time Nutrition Program Research Assistant to support the delivery and evaluation of nutrition programs. The role involves participant recruitment, data collection, program delivery, and communication with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery and evaluation of two nutrition programs, including the Health Extension for Diabetes (HED) program and the PhytoRx Families produce prescription program
Helping with participant recruitment
Data collection
Program delivery
Data analysis
Manuscript writing
Presentations
Help the Project Coordinator with communication efforts among project participants and stakeholders
Compensated travel to eastern North Carolina to interface with the county-based NC State Extension Family and Consumer Science Agents, and other state and community-based agency/organization professionals and volunteers

Qualification

Nutrition research experienceData collection skillsCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

A bachelor's degree in nutrition, public health, health behavior, or health-related field
Experience conducting nutrition/health behavior research, including collecting objective nutrition and health data (A1C, blood pressure, Veggie Meter scans, CIR breath samples, height, and weight)
Organized, dependable, and excellent communication skills
Valid driver's license

Preferred

2 years of experience conducting nutrition/health behavior research and collecting nutrition and health data
