Responsibilities
Visiting providers' offices 4 days per week
Working through all roadblocks and barriers to get medications approved and paid for
Managing specialty drug prior authorizations through portals
Conducting benefits investigations, Medicaid and Medicare Part D, working appeals and denials
Keeping up with changes and updates to drug programs, new FDA indications, miscellaneous J-codes, and payer policy changes that impact reimbursement
Qualification
Required
Field Reimbursement Manager, Biologic Coordinator, LPN, RN, CPhT with Specialty Pharmacy experience
Experience in the specialty drug prior auth process
Experience working appeals
Familiarity with the CoverMyMeds portal
Expertise in Specialty drug Prior Authorizations
Expertise in Appeals and working denials
Territory management experience
Experience training and educating provider office staff
Determination to work through all roadblocks and barriers to get the medications approved and paid for
Expertise in Specialty Drug Prior authorizations through portals
Expertise in benefits investigations
Expertise in Medicaid and Medicare Part D
2+ years experience in escalations
2+ years experience in education
2+ years experience in Patient Assistance program approvals
2+ years experience in foundation coverage
2+ years experience in guidelines and reimbursement
Ability to keep up with changes and updates to drug programs
Ability to keep up with new FDA indications
Ability to keep up with miscellaneous J-codes
Ability to keep up with payer policy changes that impact reimbursement
Willingness to travel 80% of the time
