Classroom Assistant I PT - Graduation Coach

Jordan School District is seeking a Graduation Coach to support at-risk 10th and/or 11th grade students in achieving their graduation goals. The role involves goal-setting, progress monitoring, and collaboration with school stakeholders to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

Work directly with a caseload of at-risk 10th and/or 11th grade students to build personalized plans that support on-time graduation
Meet regularly (one-to-one and small group) with students to review progress toward graduation requirements and daily success at MRHS
Set clear, measurable short- and long-term goals with each student and track progress over time
Design and implement incentive programs to motivate improved attendance, behavior, and academic outcomes
Monitor attendance, coursework, credit accumulation, and other graduation indicators; intervene promptly when setbacks arise
Act as a liaison between students and parents/guardians, school counselors, teachers, and administration to coordinate supports and share progress
Communicate proactively and professionally with parents, counselors, faculty, and administrators about student needs, interventions, and outcomes
Maintain accurate records of meetings, goals, interventions, and student progress; prepare brief progress reports as requested
Attend team meetings and collaborate with school staff to align supports and escalate concerns when necessary
Supervise the school store for 30 minutes each day to provide teacher lunch coverage
Follow all district policies around student confidentiality, safety, and mandated reporting

Required

Experience working with high school students, preferably 10th–11th grade, and with populations at risk of disengagement or dropout
Strong skills in goal setting, progress monitoring, and creating motivating incentive systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
Ability to organize caseloads, maintain accurate records, and use data to inform interventions
Comfort working collaboratively with counselors, teachers, and administrators
Patience, cultural responsiveness, and a positive, student-centered approach
High school diploma required
