Sr. Project Advisor

bp is seeking a Sr. Project Advisor to contribute to high priority transformation initiatives for the Mobility & Convenience Americas business. The role focuses on facilitating project implementation and integration across various business verticals, while ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and project management.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement project plans that align with organizational goals
Collaborate with interested parties to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate project progress, risks, and changes effectively to ensure alignment and buy-in
Proactively identify potential project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery while minimizing disruptions
Lead cross-functional teams to drive project success
Ensure all dependencies, achievements, and deliverables are met in accordance with the project timeline and scope
Track project performance against established metrics, providing regular updates and reports to senior management
Analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
Manage internal and external resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization for project execution
Oversee project budgets, financial forecasting, and resource allocation
Conduct thorough analysis of workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements
Facilitate sessions to engage customers in process redesign and operational enhancement
Coordinate change management initiatives, including updates to processes and training sessions to ensure team readiness for new implementations
Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
Set clear goals, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or business analysis, preferably in a complex organizational environment
Proven track record in stakeholder management and relationship building, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience managing operational, program, and/or project financial budgets
High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project

Preferred

PMP certification or other relevant project management certification, a plus
Change management (e.g., Prosci ®, CCMP, etc.) certification or other relevant change management certification, a plus
Power BI a plus
Knowledge of fuels marketing, sales operations, and/or retail convenience, a plus
