Production Associate

Responsibilities

Assemble material and operate equipment within specifications, safely and efficiently
Measure, assemble materials, apply chemicals, and transport materials within specifications and with precision
Verify solutions, materials, and finished product criteria are within specifications prior to using or releasing
Use care and attention to detail while working with raw materials and finished product to ensure product is not damaged and is properly handled
Operate equipment within safety guidelines and specifications required for the task being performed
Maintain process specifications and inspect product for quality
Record process data and information accurately an appropriately
Make appropriate decisions based on data and information gathered in the process
Communicate issues with product, processes, and data to supervisor and/or manager in a timely manner
Other essential duties may include the following depending on position:
Place raw materials into a mixer
Place kneaded mixes into the pre-extruder
Take formed bricks and run through Loomis extruder to form honeycomb catalysts
Place honeycomb catalysts on trays, wrap, and place on the cart for the ovens
Place carts with honeycomb catalysts in ovens, monitor temperature, and humidity, making necessary adjustments, remove catalysts once complete
Prepare dry honeycomb catalysts for chemical activation
Prepare chemical mix for activation process
Cut honeycomb catalysts to specifications
Build arrays by cementing catalysts into specifications and install in modules
Operate a forklift in a safe manner
Operate an overhead crane in a safe manner
Must be able to work on assigned shifts

Required

Reliable means of transportation is required for all positions
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Background check is required
Self-motivated worker
Good basic math and written communication skills

Willingness to take on responsibility
Able to work in a team
Good attendance - punctual
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to read, follow instruction, and record information
Work experience in an industrial environment
Proven knowledge of general plant safety
Must have a valid driver's license for all positions

Preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Manufacturing or closely related experience
Forklift experience preferred
