Responsibilities

Serves as the Directorate's principal advisor and subject matter expert for acquisition and contract management. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of an acquisition and contract management program that thoroughly documents requirements, applies innovation and resourcefulness, and takes preventive or corrective actions necessary to achieve desired outcomes
As the lead Directorate financial manager for multiple specialized programs, oversees and performs annual budget formulation, allocation and execution procedures/processes involving complex assessments and detailed analyses to address assigned missions and achieve operational priorities. Directly and indirectly oversees and provides technical advisement to military and DoD civilian personnel in all aspects of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) of the Directorate's financial management program
Represents CCJ3 with a variety of cross-functional events and organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with USCENTCOM Directorates and Special Staff, and external activities and offices, such as Office of the Secretary Defense, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Interagency Activities, Contracting Offices (i.s. Wing, GSA), USCENTCOM components, deployed Task Forces to execute courses of action which support a wide range of USCENTCOM missions
Research project issues, analyzes options, prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to resolve controversial matters and improve overall acquisition and fiscal planning and execution of assigned program(s)

U.S. Citizenship Required
Males must be registered for Selective Service
One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of DoD, Joint Service, and agency management principles, concepts, and methodologies
Knowledge of a full range of Federal contracting laws, executive orders, regulations, principles, policies, procedures, methods, techniques
Knowledge and understanding of agency, DoD, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and Congressional budget formulation and execution processes
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools used for data analysis and risk assessment and mitigation
Knowledge of government contracting methods and types
Skill to plan, interpret, optimize and manage the integration of data across multiple platforms
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with technical accuracy
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance
This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program
This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF)
