Responsibilities

Administers the Installation Information Security program to include DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and implements Installation procedures for the classification and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information
Administers the Installation Industrial Security program, provides technical guidance in development of program/project/activity specific requirements
Administers the Installation Personnel Security Program to include DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and implements host Installation procedures for managing the Personnel Security Program
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations, establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with these organizations

Required

U.S. Citizenship Required
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position
Current Air Force Employee is required
Requirement to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security clearance
Knowledge of information, industrial, and personnel security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas
Knowledge of security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs
Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the installation and supported organizations
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission

Currently serving as a Security Specialist within the US Air Force
