Supervisory General Engineer (Plans and Facilities)

Responsibilities
Lead the facilities division overseeing planning, design, repair, and sustainment of secure operational buildings and specialized intelligence facilities
Manage facility programs including construction, maintenance, project prioritization, design review, and long-range planning to ensure buildings support mission and operational requirements
Supervise engineering staff; assign work, set performance expectations, review technical output, approve leave, support employee development, and oversee personnel actions
Coordinate with installation leadership, government engineering organizations, mission partners, and contractors to address facility issues, review requirements, support project execution, and ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering from an accredited program
Experience equivalent to at least the GG-14 grade level in the Federal Service
Planning, designing, constructing, repairing, or modernizing facilities or infrastructure
Managing or coordinating facility projects to address operational, safety, or mission requirements
Reviewing engineering designs, technical plans, or project scopes
Providing technical leadership or direction to professional staff involved in engineering or facility work
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI)
Successful completion of a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
Two year trial/probationary period may be required
