Responsibilities

Gather and consolidate operational data and information from a wide variety of sources, including internal and external partners

Conduct analysis of operational information to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and emerging threats relevant to the organization's mission

Develop and disseminate written products, including operational summaries, informational papers, and formal reports, to inform leadership

Monitor the operational environment and current events to understand the context and potential impacts on the organization

Deliver timely and relevant analysis to senior watch personnel and leadership to support their decision-making processes

Work with a variety of stakeholders to share information, coordinate activities, and validate analytical assessments

Respond to requests for information (RFIs) from a variety of stakeholders

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes preparing briefs to deliver to directors; AND generating various report types for review by management (i.e. Serious Incidents Reports, Operational Reports, Operational Directives, etc.); AND utilizing automated systems for message review; AND advising management on operational procedures

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment

A background investigation and credit check are required

This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing

Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing

This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules

This position is designated as Emergency Essential

You may be required as a condition of employment to take the series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters

Position is considered essential to support DoDs mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization

Position is considered E-E because (1) No qualified and immediate replacement exists; (2) having it vacant would/impair effective operation of essential military support system/adversely impact combat mission of deployed forces

Failure to remain in your position may result in separation for the efficiency of the Federal Service

This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time

This position requires a current and valid passport

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11)
