Engineering Fellow - Machine Network Technology Strategist

Responsibilities
Design & Strategy: Develop reference architectures for machine communication systems, including zonal and domain concepts, physical topologies, and integration of classic networks (CAN, LIN)
Innovation: Drive rapid prototyping and concept validation for emerging technologies such as automotive Ethernet, CAN FD, and MACsec
Performance Optimization: Implement data exchange systems for efficient routing across zones and domains, ensuring quality and redundancy
Testing & Validation: Oversee platform and network validation using HIL/SIL systems and advanced simulation tools, ensuring deterministic communication schedules and compliance with safety standards
Collaboration: Align network strategy with technology transformation goals and engage with product groups for compliance with industry standards
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
Knowledge of effective advisory methods and ability to provide valued information and advice to clients regarding products, technologies, services and solutions for a specific technology domain
Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization
Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Proven experience in E/E architecture design and software integration for complex machine systems
Knowledge of industry standards (AUTOSAR, IEEE, SAE), automotive Ethernet, CAN FD, and MACsec
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence strategic technology decisions
Expertise in communication architecture, distributed applications, and network resource management
Strong knowledge of automotive network technologies and scalable network design principles
Familiarity with software defined vehicle concepts, middleware stacks, and execution orchestration for deterministic performance
Proficiency in automotive network security, functional safety, and compliance frameworks
